6 Alaska Cruises to Book Now for 2019

October 24, 2018

Calling all adventure travelers: Priceline is offering some big discounts on 200 Alaskan cruises for 2019, with sailings starting at $449 per person for four- to seven-day routes. That’s $449 to cruise the Inside Passage, swing by glaciers and fjords, and spot all the wildlife. Yes please. It’s all part of the Alaska Cruise Month offer, which highlights deals from major lines like Celebrity, Holland America, Princess, and Norwegian, and helps you save up to 75 percent when you book (think up to $1,000 of onboard credit and up to an additional $200 in shore excursion credit). Travel is available from April through September 2019—the best time to cruise in Alaska, as previously reported by Traveler—and you have the rest of October to book. Here are a few of the best offers we found:

Princess

Princess has a seven-night “Voyage of the Glaciers” cruise out of Vancouver on the Golden Princess that hits Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay National Park, College Fjord, and Whittier, Alaska—prices for an interior room start at $579 per person. You have the option to book any month from May to September 2019. Find more information here.

Holland America

Holland America’s northbound Glacier Discovery cruise spans seven nights on the Noordam and hits everywhere from Juneau to Glacier Bay National Park—prices start at $599 total for an interior room. The cruise runs from May to September 2019. You can check out the full itinerary and see more deal options here.

Celebrity

On the Celebrity Millennium, which will feature “reimagined restaurants” and new stores as part of a 2019 refurbishment, you can take a seven-night Northern Glacier tour starting at $604 for an interior room. The itinerary starts in Vancouver and includes Skagway, Icy Strait Point, Juneau, and the massive Hubbard Glacier, which is seven miles wide and 76 miles long. Plus, there’s a Canyon Ranch spa on board offering massages and acupuncture if you need to unwind. The cruise runs May to August 2019; book here.

Norwegian

Get on board the 2,376-passenger Norwegian Jewel for a seven-night southbound cruise through Alaska’s Inside Passage—expect to see orcas, sea otters, mountains, and glaciers. The ship leaves from Anchorage and hits Icy Strait Point, Juneau, Sawyer Glacier, and Ketchikan, among other stops. Prices start at $519 per person for an interior room, which is 62 percent less than the brochure price ($1,369). The sailing dates are May to September 2019—you can book here.

Carnival

Carnival’s seven-night cruise around the Tracy Arm Fjord would normally be $2,029, according to Priceline, but with this deal, you can score an interior room from $684. The trip leaves from Vancouver and includes stops in Juneau, Seattle, Glacier Bay National Park, and the Inside Passage. It’s only available for April sailings; you can learn more here.

Royal Caribbean

On the Radiance of the Seas, a 2,466-passenger ship with a rock climbing wall and miniature golf course, you can book a seven-night trip that departs from Anchorage and stops at Juneau, Vancouver, the Inner Passage, and Hubbard Glacier, among other destinations. Interior rooms start at $576, and are available to book for May, June, July, and August 2019. The original brochure price was $1,605. Check out the itinerary and book here.
